Things got a little more real today. The first doctor visit occurred today and the doc confirmed the due date as March 19. It’s getting harder and harder to keep things under wraps. It seems lately at work the baby talk and question about number 2 has come up often. I don’t think it’s a case of me subconsciously talking about it because I’m making a conscious effort not to discuss it.
I think I had M convinced to share the news last weekend but we didn’t have the family get togethers that we need to quickly disseminate the info. We want to tell both sides of the family the same weekend and my in-law siblings are on their honeymoon next weekend so we are going to wait until our orginal plan of Labor Day weekend.
I know the first question from my side will be the due date. I’m kind of scared to share the actual date because I’m not sure how everyone will feel about Dos and J/C’s second being so close. The second question will be why did we wait so long to share the news. It’s been hard to be silent but we just wanted for our first doctor appointment before we started sharing. The doctor has gone on some crazy reduced schedule. She was on vacation for a couple weeks and today was the first appointment she had open. M made the next couple appointments and found out the doctor only work three days a week and one of those was a half day. (I need to figure out how to get that schedule.) So this has made the appointments a little more difficult to schedule this time around. I wasn’t able to make it today but hope to make it to the future ones.
